Epson is going to ship in November in the US its PowerLite Home
Cinema 6100, which claimed to be the first 1080p projector that is
priced below $2000 USD. But wait, Sanyo is going to release worldwide
the PLV-Z700 that costs only $1995 USD. Hey, Epson, check carefully next time.
Based on the 3LCD technology, Home Cinema 6100 features 1080p Full
HD resolution, 18,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, D7 high definition
resolution LCD technology, OptiCinema multi-lens system and the new
E-TORL (Epson Twin Optics Reflection Lamp).
It comes with the Dynamic Iris system that can make automatic light
output adjustments up to 120 times per second and the Cinema Filter
that delivers a larger color space for improved color accuracy and a
more film-like image.
The Home Cinema 6100 projector offers two HDMI 1.3a input, a S-video input, a component and a VGA-type RGB input.
