MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc (MTI Micro) has developed its new Mobion fuel-cell system that can have 2,700 hours of continuous operation. The new Mobion cell also achieve a power degradation of less than 15%, which is an significant improvement compare to 35% of direct methanol micro fuel cells.

MTI Micro is aiming at introducing the Mobion portable power products to the multi-billion dollar consumer electronics industry for applications including cell phones, digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players and other handheld electronic devices.
